Severnair 10th Anniversary
« on: October 09, 2016, 11:11:50 am »
Hi all,

On 26th October 2016 it will be Severnair's 10th anniversary. There will be an event to commemorate this but it has not yet been 100% decided. It is likely to incolve a difficult airfield of some sort...

Please mark this in your diaries and await further details!

Regards,

Ok I have now added a poll to vote for an arrival airport.

If you can think of somewhere more fun then please specify.

I will also point out that Brad, our glorious events manager, has suggested a Brexit themed flight taking our Eastern European residents back home. However I can't think of a suitable challenging airfield in Poland, Latvia, Lithuania etc. If anyone knows of one - do tell!

Get voting chaps!

I voted LSZS. Never been there before and there's freeware ORBX scenery for it :)

I'll fly this on the Thursday - if there's anyone else who can't make the Wednesday, feel free to join me

Ideally I'd like to keep the event on the specific anniversary date; however if it turns out more people are free on the Thursday perhaps then we can always consider changing if - or indeed just run it for 2 nights.

Does this need to take place on Wednesday? I wouldn't mind a few drinks to celebrate the birthday which I can't do on a Wednesday, nor do I really want to fly after 9pm. Can't we give cards on the Wednesday and have the party on Friday?

The event can be repeated for whatever days others are available if needs be; but ideally the primary event will be the Wednesday.

What are the estimated flight times for these destinations? I could probably get airborne around 7 and I'd want to be on the ground no later than 9:30.
