Severnair Cargo Event
« on: February 17, 2009, 04:22:57 pm »
Hi All,

On Monday 9th March 2009, Severnair Cargo will be operating a group flight from Cardiff (EGFF) to Istanbul (LTBA).

Departure time from Cardiff will be 1830Z, so pilots should anticipate to meet on the ground at 1800. ATC will be organised at both ends.

It is preferred that only aircraft from the Cargo fleet are flown, these are:
MD11F
A310F
B744F
B752F

Finally, there is scenery available for Istanbul and it can be downloaded here: http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=126109.

Feedback is welcome as always, and I hope to see as many of you as possible on the night!

Regards,
Dan Bishop-Adams CLF1/SAV1

Will have to play it by ear but would like to attend if I can... I'll take a B744F, most probably. Only dodgy part is the departure time - 1800z to 1900z is 'putting baby to bed' hour, and as such, I may be required to do other things, like dip him in a bath, shove milk down him, etc, etc... we'll see whether the missus lets me out to play! :D

Heres the flightplan route guys: ALVIN/BCN L9 CPT UL9 KONAN UL607 AMASI UM149 DETEV UL603 ZAG UP735 VBA UM19 LETVA UM21 GERGI UL614 ADORU UG80 EKI.

Also, may I suggest on the night that people park as near to the cargo terminal as possible at Cardiff. The parking is limited but Im sure many of us will be able to park there. It might be an idea for all those attending to confirm their intended aircraft type, then we can do some forward planning to work out who will park where... I'll be in the MD11.

Hope to be there.   I shall appear on stand 14 in PMDG`s latest (MD11F), only just got it so treat me gently please!  Might not have bothered had I checked on the falling value of the pound first. Let me know if my selection of stand doesn`t suit.

Brian if you mean stand 14 as in near the fuel farm and cargo area, that isn't stand 14 anymore... You'll need to grab the chart from www.ais.org.uk and improvise with your parking (ie use the new stands on the old scenery).

Further to my post about the flightplan route, we can eliminate ALVIN from the equation as ALVIN1B has been suspended. Departure will be via BCN.

If able I will attend but not looking good.
