UK/Ireland New Year Tour
« on: December 28, 2008, 06:44:09 pm »
Hi All,

As promised; heres our New Year Event!

I propose the following event take place on Monday 12th January 2009, and it is a destination-hopping tour of the UK and Ireland.

So, here is the proposed schedule:
EGGD-EIDW-EGPF-EGNT-EGLC-EGGD.

Depart EGGD 1800z. Arrive EIDW 1850z. EET 0050.
Depart EIDW 1920z. Arrive EGPF 2000z. EET 0040.
Depart EGPF 2030z. Arrive EGNT 2110. EET 0040.
Depart EGNT 2140. Arrive EGLC 2230. EET 0050.
Depart EGLC 2300. Arrive EGGD 2335. EET 0035.

All flying times are based approximately on that of a turboprop aircraft as that could well be the aircraft of choice for many. For those flying Jet aircraft, the only Jets we can allow (from our fleet) are the Fokker 70 and Airbus A318 due to restrictions at London City. If you wish to change aircraft at Newcastle for the leg to London City then thats also fine.

Flightplan routes are as follows:
EGGD-EIDW:
BCN L9 STU M17 VATRY

EIDW-EGPF:
GELKI P600 BLACA

EGPF-EGNT:
TLA L602 NATEB

EGNT-EGLC:
NATEB P18 GASKO Y99 CROFT DCT MCT

EGLC-EGGD:
CPT

Feedback is most welcome as always. If there is a preferred date, or even preferred route, then please let me know.

Otherwise, I hope to see as many of you as possible on the night!

Regards,

Update for you all - I have contacted VATUK Events to request some ATC, so far it looks like there will be EGPF_GND & _TWR and Thames Radar on. Hopefully there will be more.

Flightplan routes have been added to the primary post above.

Hope there will be plenty of you attending!

ROFL... well I ain't gonna bite.... (but I can't vouch for her, of course). Just be a good hound and make sure you bone her later, eh? And make sure you hang on tight, if she's really that agile... :D

Heyho... enough lame comedy ;)

I'll try and be there, but alas, departure time is about ten minutes before Sam's scheduled pushback-into-bed time, so I may be trundling along after peeps, or perhaps have to pick up the journey from a later stop. We'll see. I'll do my best, but if I don't make it, have a great 'un!

Thanks to all who did come along last night.

Must say, I am a tad disappointed with the turn-out. Where was everyone!? Hopefully our next event will be more popular!

Thanks to you, Dan, for putting it together and arranging all that fine ATC along the way! It really made me realise how much I have missed proper flying! Sorry I couldn't do the whole trip, but what I did was fun, thanks! Hope to do some more again soon!
